Brief introduction to molecular visualization packages

Molecular visualization packages are programs for displaying, animating, and analyzing large biomolecular systems using 3-D graphics and some of them have built-in scripting.
In the following you can find a couple of these packages with a direct link to their developer's website:

1- RasMol

2- VMD

3- Pymol

4- Jmol

You should pay attention that these packages are not the same and have some advantages and disadvantages.

For starter,  you can go to these websites (Protein database and Nucleic acid database) and download a couple of PDBs and NDBs, then use your favorite molecular visualization package to show downloaded PDB or/and NDB.
